Da Deam was born a Buddhist in Cambodia and only became a Christian at 24 yrs old after he began as a farmworker for Aenon, a Christian health centre in Malaysia. He started to study the Bible and attended health therapy courses. His amazing story is well recorded below on YouTube.

After being transformed into a Christian, he had to overcome painful and intensive rejection upon returning to his village. Yet he patiently laboured on for Christ’s sake. After many years of hard work, he has established a village ministry of 7 baptisms in Bible care-groups, English and computer classes and a strong Prison Ministry with 32 baptisms.

Most stirring of all is what is happening in the prison ministry. The prison has 3000 prisoners, but Da Deam has only access to 100 of which 32 are now baptised. The baptized prisoners in turn are reaching out to the other prisoners that Da Deam does not have access to. Praise God, there are Bible cell groups within prison cells!
