The 70-week prophecy of Daniel 9 is the greatest Messianic prophecy with a specific timeline that pinpoints the start date of Jesus ministry, His crucifixion, ending with the official rejection by Christ by Israel. The replacement of the Levitical priesthood with Christ as our High Priest  occurred in the middle of the 70th week. In Matt 24, Jesus  referred to Daniel's 70-week prophecy saying "... see ye not all these things?". Listen to this prophecy that we may in this 1st session begin to see these things.

In the past, pagan military powers under powerful kings were worshipped as gods in one person. History and Bible then identifies the "little horn" of Dan 7 and Dan 8 as God's enemy. The religious power became an institution resulting in the Roman Church. However in union with the kings, it was known as the Holy Roman Empire. A later name of the "little horn" was the "king of the north" in Dan 11. Then in Rev 13, the "little horn" was described as the "sea beast" (Roman Church) and "land beast" (king/nation). Ultimately in Rev 17, this union became known as "Babylon" of which God destroys at the end.

Which phase of Satanic power are we in now? Let's listen and study to find out. 

The union of earthly powers of church and state in its medieval European phase as the Holy Roman Empire persecuted and killed millions notably of Protestants. They fled, sailed to America and formed the United States with the constitution which ensured the separation church and state. 

The worst exploitation of people by church and state was in France which resulted in the French Revolution.  In 1798, the state under Napoleon inflicted a "deadly wound" on the Roman Church. Pope Pius was taken captive and later died in prison. However, Rev 13 prophesies the healing of this "deadly wound" and the rise again of church and state resulting in Babylon, the Great Tribulation and 666. 

It is commonly accepted in Christendom that grace was not centrally featured in the Old Covenant, that obeying the 10 Commandments is legalistic and is salvation by works. We will demonstrate the central glorious themes that run consistently through all the dispensations from Eden to the New Earth. "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever." Heb. 13:8. God initiated the grace of the blood covenant in Eden. Christ as the Lamb, was also promised there to Adam and Eve. The very first prophecy was uttered in Eden by God. The sanctuary, now in heaven, contains the 10 Commandments and thus pre-dated the Mosaic sanctuary. James quoted Amos to justify that Gentiles will be called by God's name. They will be part of the rebuilding of the fallen tabernacle of David. 

Names in Bible are extremely important. Many Christians do not understand what the name Israel actually means. We shall study this to properly understand what the Bible refers to when it refers to Israel. Since 1948, when Israelites were gathered as a nation, Christians have great interest in prophecies concerning the future permanent regathering of Israel. The 3rd Temple has become the central expectation of Christians. On the other hand, Israel has continued to reject Christ for nearly 2000 years since His first advent. In Bible history God had always scattered Israel when disobedient. There is no precedent of God gathering Israel when still disobedient. Jesus had declared " Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away" Matt 21:19. Let's study to carefully examine what outcome to expect. 

The Bible has many texts which set high expectations of Christians....perfection and victory. In Rev 2 and 3, the Christian who overcomes is emphasized 7 times in relation to the 7 churches. In contrast, Biblical terms that are now seldom heard are "obedience, sanctification, purity, righteousness, sin and judgment ". 

 In the context of prophecy, the modern free and easy gospel does not fit. How is the gospel to be correctly understood and embraced?
